Humanoid Soccer League (HSL)

1. Competition Divisions

(i) RoboCup Humanoid Soccer League – Large Division

  • Number of Players: 5 vs 5
  • Field: 22m × 14m

(ii) RoboCup Humanoid Soccer League – Middle Division

  • Number of Players: 5 vs 5
  • Field: 22m × 14m

The RCAP Beijing Masters HSL rules will be based on the RoboCup 2026 Humanoid Soccer League (HSL) Rules, with minor adjustments to reflect the latest advances in humanoid robot technology. Feedback from the RoboCup HSL Technical Committee and the broader RoboCup community will be carefully considered. The RCAP Technical Committee will work closely with the participating teams to review and finalize the competition rules.

2. Schedule

As with last year’s event, on-site training will be available to qualified teams from 7 to 21 August 2026, ahead of the main competition from 22 to 26 August 2026. Further details on the training arrangements and competition schedule will be announced in due course.

  • On-site training period:  7-21 August 2026
  • Competition: 22-26 August 2026

3. Support for Qualified Teams

  • Partial travel support, including complimentary accommodation in Beijing during the training and competition periods, will be provided.
  • A robot pool will be made available to qualified teams. However, teams will also be required to bring some of their own robots. The exact number of robots to be provided and brought by each team will be confirmed at a later stage.
  • Qualified teams will receive free access to full-scale HSL training facilities in Beijing from 7 -21 August 2026.
